btw I've alerted THE Canadian authority on burning objects, 0sully, with your inquiry. You should be getting your answer soon.😉😛

Prohibited Debris (what you're not allowed to burn) in the province of Alberta

Prohibited debris means any inflammable waste that, when burned, may result in the release to the atmosphere of dense smoke, offensive odours or toxic substances and includes but is not limited to these agricultural-related products:

- animal cadavers (dead animals);
- animal manure;
- pathological waste;
- non-wooden material;
- waste material from building or construction sites, including preserved wood tires;
- rubber or plastic, or anything containing or coated with rubber or plastic, or similar substances (this include plastic baler twine, plastic pesticide containers, etc.);
- used oil;
- wood or wood products containing substances for the purpose of preserving wood.

That's all I could find on the subject but it's a good bet similar laws are on the books in other provinces as well.
