burning movies on dvd-r disc question

Hi, i have a DVD-r burner(old model, can only burn dvd-r disc) 2x.

if i download (bit torrent) dvd movies., can i burn it onto dvd-r disc and watch using DVD player(home theatre set)
 
Yes, as long as your DVD player supports DVD-Rs. (most will)

You may want to edit your post though, as what you mentioned is frowned upon here.
