Alright.
The last time I did this, it didn't work. I'm gonna need your help.
What I did was to download both .iso files. Then I extracted them with a program called Winimage, since Nero dosen't seem to support .iso's. Then I burnt the extracted files to CD's.
I could see the files alright in windows, and I even made a boot floppy from it. But when I tried to install it, it just gave me that non-system disk error. With the boot floppy, it sayd the CD wasn't a Mandrake CD.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

nero DOES support image files, just not the .iso extension.

so you just have to force it to read the image file, by pointing it to the .iso file (type in *.* in the name area, and it'll show all files), and leave the next screen at its defaults (it thinks that it is a foreign image, but you don't have to change anything).

BUT before doing any of that, I recommend using a checksum to make sure that the .iso file is not corrupt..

ARGH!
It didn't work. About halfway through (though once it got all the way through the simulation before stoping) that its an 'Illegal mode for this track." I have tried both mode 1 and 2, but they both do that. Sugestions?
Thanks!

I dont have Nero, but have burned Mandrake (and other) iso's with EZCD 4. You have to be sure NOT to burn the CD in Joliet (this is Windows format). You have to burn it in the ISO 9660 format, and allow long file names as well.

I don't think there is a demo version of EZ CD Creator. I would think that there is something that you can download that can burn in ISO 9660 format though. It should be a pretty standard option. Nero doesn't have this?

I guess not. It dosen't give you any options such as name length or format in the foreign image dialoge (it says mode 1 and 2. Very descriptive.), so I don't know how I'm going to get around this. Am I going to have to go out and buy a copy? I need this! I hate Windows!
Oh well.

How about a new post asking for a downloadable CDR program that will burn a ISO 9660 format?
