Is this a known problem? I can't seem to get the user to access the CDRW with a domain account! Frigg'n microsoft man... first of all office 97 won't work properly with win2k and now this. Any fixes please email me at ta.tt@mellon.com Thanks. oh, post fixes as well... who knows, someelse might have the same probloem. Later.

Sounds to me like a permisions issue on the workstation. What rights does the user have? I remember there were issues on NT4.0 with office and permisions.

Are you by any chance using EZ CD Creator? I have had lots of trouble getting that software to work with domain logons, but eventually it worked. I think what I did was installing it with the Domain Administrator account.

I'm using an Asus 16x writer with a Dell GX1 P2 350 and the software is Windows 2000 pro w/ NTI CD-Maker 2000 Plus. Update -- finally got it to work by using the runas command under a domain user id. The users only have "user" privialges (sp?). I cannot install under domain admin... huge corp and they would kill me before the gave that away! 🙂 this is a very poor fix (runas)... now this user will probably install all kinds of junk... damn microsh@ft! :-(
