burning in phones`

So I should be receiving my first pair of audiophile headphones tomorrow and I'm getting mixed reviews about burning them in before using them. Should I be doing a 24hour on pink noise and 24hour of heavy bass music burn ins on my audiotechnica ad 700's or should I just use them regularly?

Just use them regularly, There maybe some physical burn-in on the drivers, but if there is any effect it will occur in the first hour or so.

Just use them.

If you want to make a concerted effort, put your system on Random, leave it on, and go to work. 🙂

This. Play a low frequency 20Hz tone for about 1 hour to shake up the drivers, that's all you need.

And even then, the effects of this excercise are sometimes so insignificant that it may not even be worth your time.
