I'm trying to burn some software thats a 800mb .mdf file and I'd like to break it in half so it'll fit on at least 2 cds since my cd can only hold up to 700mb. Anyone know a way to do this?

Thanks.

How about zipping or rar'ing it before you burn it? It should compact down to almost nothing especially if you RAR it

Have you guys ever used a .mdf ?

It's a cd image file format, similar to .bin/.cue, .iso, .img, etc...

I had this problem before.

First off, did you make this image? If so, did you make it with Alcohol 120%?

It really only comes down to if you have the corresponding .mds file - kind of like a table to tell the computer where the data in the mdf goes.

If you have the .mds file -- I'm pretty sure you can just burn it, with Alcohol 120%, selecting the mds file.
