Doing my homework on DV camcorder and editing software. Not sure on what kind of video capture card I should get. Is it best to get something like the All in Wonder?

You don't really need a nice video card for video editing. More important to get some fast I/O equipment and a fat sack of RAM.

I think I just need a capture care.

just a firewire card. I use pinnacle....its a nice(cheaper) alternative to adobe. You can get the software & card for around $80 retail I think.

konichiwa is right, make sure your stacked with ram.

what else do you use the computer for? might want to consider the aiw 9000(~$100) but I wouldn't use any video editing software they give you with that.

Just use it for light gaming and mostly surfing the net. I have 256MB of PC800 Rambus ram.. I guess I will have to get twomore sticks for 256 more megs.
