Is it possible for me to take 2 *.avi files and burn them onto a DVD-RW and watch them in my DVD player? Better yet, can I combine the 2 *.avi files to watch a continuous movie?

The simple answer is no.

The files must be converted to a video format that a DVD player will understand. If they're DIVX files you can buy a DVD player that supports that format (some players may support XVID as well). Otherwise, you'll need to convert the audio and video.

www.videohelp.com or www.doom9.org will have plenty of info.

IMO, it's just not worth it to convert the AVI to DVD.

Kind of what MustISO said, but it is possible.

Take a look at VideoHelp and do a search for DIKO. It's a freeware program that will convert AVI's, author, and burn to DVD all in one step. Fairly easy to use. However, be aware that the conversion process can take several hours depending on your CPU and length of video.

I don't think it's possible using just NERO6, but in my limited experience DIKO works great.
