Burning CDs with iTunes

On my iTunes, if I am simply listening to a playlist, one song quickly fades into another. There's no silence in between.

How do I burn CDs so that the same thing happens when I listen to them? iTunes always burns them with a silence in between.
 
options/preferences>advanced>burning>Audio CD>gap between songs=0 seconds.
There's no way to have them fade in/out, AFIAK- that would involve actually editing the audio files, which iTunes doesn't do.
