When I'm burning a cd in my Plextor CDRW 12x10x32a, it restarts my computer. It reboots when it's 60%+ through the burning process. What's going on? It worked fine last week. Any ideas?

edit: It can read cds just fine.

How big's your power supply? Could be an issue with a power overload. Or, perhaps your burner is having issues and causes a fault when it reaches a certain point. Did you add anything recently to the system? What are your specs?

Make sure your OS is not set to reboot on error. Maybe that will help decipher what is wrong. I had a wrong driver for my IDE chipset and it caused my DVD burner to fail repeatedly until I loaded the correct driver.

It's a 350W, unfortunately the brand name escapes me right now, but it's a good brand. It's never had any problems before and I've had it for a year now.

Nope, nothing's changed since last week when it did work. Nothing that I know of, besides installing Quicktime. :)

It's a P4 1.6A (not overclocked for the season, due to the heat). I don't think it's my other hardware though, since it has been the same for the last year.

Where is that option to reboot on error? I don't think I've seen that one before.

edit: I think it works again. It finished an entire cd file last night. I didn't burn the same files as before though. Maybe I should try those again.
