I remember a long time ago when ATHF first hit [adult swim] a friend of mine burned em for me onto a normal CD as .avi's...

Now me being a fan of Lost and 24, I downloaded the most recent seasons cus I just couldn't wait to buy em... anyway to get em onto disc?

It's against the forum rules to ask for helping doing illegal things. And despite your desire to buy them, it's still illegal to download them.

That said, they were probably burned to the CDs in SVCD format, which isn't the same as just burning the files onto the disc. I dunno if there's a similar format for DVDs, but at the least you can create video DVDs out of them just like if you were converting your old VHS tapes to DVD. Google seach should be able to find solutions to this.

I don't see how it's illegal if you can just tape it... sooo with that said, Google search it is! Thanks, man... though I doubt it was burned any certain way... my friend says he just burned it like a normal data disc in Nero, but he's not sure... Thanks again, man.

Some DVD players might also be able to just play an AVI file, many can play WMV files, or Divx AVI's.

Did you at least try it the regular way once? :)

Yea I tried the normal way, but it might just be the DVD player here... but it plays the ATHF cd I mentioned before... weird.

why not just convert the avi to dvd format, some tools will even let you make a menu and all.

counter: why not spend some cash to save you time(& thus possibly money) so you don't have to convert the AVI files?
play them in your AVI capable dvd player.
