Burning an iso

I downloaded the iso image for RedHat 7.0 and i dont know what to burn it with. I have never done this and didnt know if i should burn it straight to the cd, but someone mentioned that you use a program that is designed for that. Any help would be great.

You need the correct buring software to do it. I recomend CDR-win or Nero.
CdrWin
Nero

You can also try to use WinImage and extract the files from the ISO and burn it as you like using any software you want.

WinImage

hope this helps!

Do a search for Fireburner. It is a very easy drag-and-drop program that burns isos. I didn't have a clue how to burn a linux iso also but fireburner is very eays.

ISO is a CD image. Most CD Recording software include an option to write an ISO image to CD. What CD Recording software do you use?

Many will have the option to Write image to CD, Burn image to CD, or something like that.

Adapter Easy CD Creator and DiscJuggler recognize the ISO extension. If you have Nero, you'll have to change the .ISO extension to .NRG (I think) before burning.

I hope this helps. Write again if you need more help.

You shouldn't have to rename the file. Just select 'Burn Image', then go to the folder with the .iso and just double-click on it.

Nero reads the file as a image and begins the burning process...

that may be true Uber. When I used Nero, the .iso extension was not an option to use when I selected "Burn Image". But I have an old version of Nero, so that could be why. Does anyone else get a message saying in Nero saying something about foreign file when trying to burn an ISO?

I would personally go with another program to burn ISO images, like DiscJuggler or Adaptec Easy CD Creator. I used DiscJuggler on a dual burn system and have had over 500 successful ISO burns.
