Burner Software

Checking around the forums I noticed most prefer Nero over EasyCD. What
are the main advantages of one over the other? Im looking at two different Burners Plextor and TDK and the Plextor comes with Easy and the TDK comes with Nero.

i would go w/ the nvidia gefor....oh wait...you're talking about burners
wrong topic yo 🙂 but it's all good

Seriously tho, Plextor and TDK use the same drives I believe (at least the 12x10x32 one)...they both use Sanyo's Burn-Proof technology which says it won't have any coasters. Burn proof technology is implemented in both EasyCD creator and Nero (later versions of course), so I don't see a distinct advantage of either software. I myself prefer Nero WAY over EasyCD creator...it just ran much better on my system. As far as the drives, they are pretty much identical except for the firmware. You can even change the firmware if you really wanted to...some pages out there w/ hacks from the TDK -> Plextor. My Plextor 12x has done some amazing things (like when i forgot to enable DMA for the burner) so I love this drive for all it's worth. I would have to say get which ever is cheaper, because software is easier to come by...😉
