I've been using my burner, a matsumi that came with my HP desktop about a year ago. Last night i tried to burn some pictures and mpeg files onto the disc, and it spat it out arond 98% and told me there was an error recording. I tried again, same thing. Used the HP recording program, and the built in burner with windows, and also the Windows Media recorder, nothing seems to be working. Could this be a problem with a cable? or perhaps just the burner is dead?
