burned out processor?

I installed an XP-1600 chip in my epox motherboard alst night and started boot up as usual. Everything seemed to go smoothly so I shut it off. Today I got to college and upon turning on the pc all drives spin up, fans spin up, the indicator on the board reads FF but I get absolutely no video no matter what I try. Even after removing and reseating every component. I even tried just running the motherboard and video card and processor without anything else but still nothing. I am suspecting that the chip burned out, because the video card has been working fine up to this point. I checked to make sure the monitor is ok. Is there anything else I can do before RMAing the processor?

Is your monitor getting a signal? Do you have a monitor that says No Signal if the power light goes amber when theres no signal?
It might be the video card; have you tried anouther monitor or your current monitor on anouther system?
