Hey all,

Got my KK266 and 1.4GHz TBird up and running, but it appears that in the process somehow, I burned out my 431 enermax????? Anyhow, heres the question. Is there a reset switch for the PS? I highly doubt I burned it out just by switching mobos and chips, and using the CMOS. Has anybody had this problem before. I am now running with a generic 300w PS, and all seems well so far, at least the computer is working It took me almost all day yesterday to get it figured out that it was the power supply. I almost threw my whole rig out the window on more than one occasion. I will not try to OC till I can get a more powerful PS. Anybody have the answer or a link to there site?

Thanks in advance

I probably have a different situation, but I got a new Enermax EG465P-VE and it shuts down after 30 seconds to 5 minutes. The system will power up, then drop power and not come back until the power supply resets after several minutes. I put the power supply in a working system to check it out and swapped it with another power supply in another system. The Enermax is definitely failing. I'm bummed - the Enermax looked promising, but I am thinking of replacing it with a Sparkle 400W.

I don't think there is a reset switch since it uses a thermal diode. It'll self re-set after it cools down enough. There seems to be issues on this enermax. Either they have defective thermal diodes which triggers a premature shut down or they are not getting enough cooling. If the PSU does not re-set after awhile it's most likely a faulty thermal diode. I wouldn't recommend opening the unit unless it's not under warranty anymore. RMA is the best course.
