So I was trying to install my old hd into a new system, but being the dumbass that I am, I put it in a really bad position, and I burned the hd..literally, to the point where I could smell smoke coming out of it.
I thought to myself, oh sh!t, please don't let it be my hard drive, anything else can be replaced, but not my HD.. and sure enough it was. You can see the brown/black spots near the end where the power cable is plugged in.
It didn't come close to the storage part of the HD though..so would it be possible to recover this data? I'll do it if it's cheap..otherwise it's just lost videos and mp3's..
