Okay so i burned a couple DVDs i owned onto a DVD-R using DVD X Copy Platinum. Well i played it on my DVD player fine, mine is an HHGregg, just a generic standard one. I took it to my friends and played it on their Oritron (Probably out of Business) and their RCA PLayer, it played but it was choppy and sometimes it would turn off by it self. There would be blobs of useless crap that would spam on there like static. It skipped a lot and was really really annoying. Anyone know why this would be? Maybe i needed DVD+R at their house? or what? if anyone is having this problem please help me =P much would be appreciated, by the way i love these forums. HA! OKay well if anyone has a solution or some things i could try i would appreciate it. Thanks!

All DVD players are different. Some are better at playing certain things than others. Everything matters, whether it's +R, -R, brand of media, the DVD player model, or a number of other factors. Check out videohelp.com's section on DVD players. They have a database which shows which DVD players can play what and what they have problems with.
