Burn-Proof question

Some kid I work with was trying to tell me that burn-proof is bad because 1/10 of all mp3's won't work with it? I'm kind of slow to believe anything he says, after all, he tried to tell me that hyper-z is BAD for video cards.

2nd edit: wow, i go to OT and low and behold, deeko works at CC (nsync thread), that may explain your friend. i dont see how burnproof would mess anything up, considering that's the entire idea behind burnproof, to keep from messing up burning.

Yea that's what I tried to explain to him...he's an idiot :) And to think, he used to work in the computer department :) Heh...its great, the smart people are in the non-specialized department, and the idiots are in the computer department :)

so what's this kid suggest instead? justlink or no protection at all? i doubt it, all the burners in our computer labs have burn-proof and they work fine. and looking over how burn-proof works, there isn't anything that would indicate this sort of a problem... could be wrong though.
