Perhaps you guys would be more familiar...
I've been playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted and it's 4:3, not widescreen... I've got a green vertical line where the gameplay's left border is on my widescreen LCD. Anyone ever seen this problem ? I played for about 3-4 hours yesterday and afterward I noticed it easily. I went to bed thinking my 10 month old LCD is crapping out on me, not realizing it's in the exact place the screen cuts off in the game. I woke up and it was a lot less noticeable but still there a bit.
I played a couple hours more today and now the greenish line is there again.. very prominent after exiting the game. After a few hours now, the green has turned to gray.
Does this thing fade over time or do I have permanent burn-in ? How does it work on LCDs ? Interestingly, the right border is not there.
Reboot or powering off (for a short while) doesn't help and the LCD's tv mode shows the line as well so it's not just the DVI connection.
