Burn for your Buck

Hello,
My CD-RW just broke!! Grr.. Anyway, I am looking for a new one now. I am just wondering if anyone has some suggestions about new CD-RW's out there. Within the 100-150 dollar price range. I am looking for a good combination of SpEED and reliability, plus a really well constructed buffer underrun protection. Thanks for any info you can give me. Any stats on the model too would be much apprcetiated. Thanks again

whoa budy, give the thousands of members on this board some time to answer your questions😉 wouldn't want a vacation from the nice mods🙂

Anyways, I used to be a die hard plextor fan but I am now using lite-on burners only. There is no buffer issue with them.

you don't need to pay $100-150
just get the mitsumi 32x for $80! It's fast and works like a charm

<< What about the Plextor 40X/12X/40X? Has anyone heard of this new FAST burner???? >>

I laugh when you capitalized fast, because it seems as if you only thought plextor made fast burners...

Check out the biggest burn for your buck w/lite on cd-rw's

My 24x lite on burner has been absolutely excellent in burning... it was cheap, but has stood up to whatever I've thrown at it. I put one in a clients PC too, and no problems whatsoever...

all in all, you're paying for a brand name w/plextor. Burners last for a while and get outdated anyways, so why waste money when you don't have to? That's my opinion anyways.

Another vote for Lite-On. I've also had good luck with AOpen burners. You really don't need to worry about the buffer size anyways since they all have some sort of burn proof technology.
