I'm fine with investigating this after the election and after Trump has gone to trial for all his criminal conduct. Until then, this is small apples supported by incompetent conspiracy compared to a known criminal sitting in the white house.

Edit: On second thought, no I'm not. Republicans are going to throw everything they can at Dems to prevent them from making any kind of progress once Dems control the presidency, house and senate, so fuck republicans and their efforts to destroy the world of facts. Get some actual credible evidence, and then you can investigate.

I'll be courteous, assume you suffered a momentary failure of reading comprehension, and rephrase what I've said already. If the photos are novel and real and weren't just sourced somewhere from the internet, then either the other information is true, or you're dealing with a well orchestrated conspiracy (a real conspiracy, not a conspiracy theory--maybe this is where you stumbled) to frame Biden in an effort to secure the 2020 election. You do want to get to the bottom of this, right? And if it is a deception, to expose that and anyone responsible, right?

Nowhere did I say that the photos being legit "prove that everything else is legit" as you allege I did. I was very explicit about this not necessarily being the case. Not once, but twice if you care to look at my prior post also.

Every Trump supporter (on the fence voting for him or not) I know personally believes that this story is not only 100% true, that it is 100% damning despite the fact that they have no idea what is true or damning about it, or how it exposes the hypocrisy of who Bidens opponent is that THEY support, or deep down are only looking for one little reason that they can rationalize voting for him again. To them, it proves that Joe Biden is corrupt, and everything Trump was accused of (but, to them - was totally innocent of) is what Biden has done. This BS story served its purpose for them.

However, the GOP’s goal was not necessarily to provide convincing evidence of anything that would keep someone from voting Biden/Harris.

The goal, instead, is always to give people who want to vote for Trump but are troubled about it, a rationalization they can employ to do what they really want to do.

"I don't like Trump, and I don't like a lot of what he's done, but this Burisma thing sounds pretty bad, so I'll keep voting for Trump"

That’s the kind of “reasoning” Trump’s enablers are hoping to inspire with stunts like the Laptop story.

We can see how Giuliani and Trump might have seen this playing out. As I wrote yesterday for Salon, these fake scandals Republicans concoct to smear Democrats work by being too complicated for anyone to follow. Instead, there's a drip-drip-drip of confusing stories filled with buzzwords and noise, all working together to build the illusion of scandal where none exists. The goal is to keep the words "Biden," "Burisma" and "Ukraine" in the headlines so people start to assume there must be something shady going on, even if there's nothing there.

I was wrong to give you the benefit of the doubt. You're completely intellectually disingenuous when you ignore what I say next despite including it in your post:

Or to put it another way, even if the photos came from a legitimate hard drive, there is still a possibility that doctored information is being included with the true information in order to prop up a falsehood.

That wasn't what you took umbrage with. You said I was claiming that the photos being legit proves everything else is legit.

But even then, this is why I talked about odds rather than proof. Literally in the post you quoted:

Even if I were to let you move the goalposts, you'd still be wrong.

And even if I let you move the goalposts and I had said proof instead of odds, you'd be quibbling over nothing.

Hey if you want to argue semantics to avoid admitting your original statement that no photos on the internet somehow proves the HD is legit then have at it. I simply paraphrased from memory your posts until you made me go back and reread them. Your original post came off as the photos lend some sort of credence to the entire scandal despite all the other huge gaping holes. The photos do not lend any credence whatsoever, so fuck off with that shit. It's a scam. It has always been a scam. Everyone knows it unless they are deeply motivated to believe it isn't. We aren't deeply motivated to believe it is a scam because even if it wasn't a scam Biden would still be an infinitely better candidate than Trump. We don't need this to be a scam they way you need it to be legit.

Research will probably show that from a behavioral standpoint, the type of people who are opposed to Trump are not sitting their searching or viewing content in a way that would cause algorithms to steer that in their direction.
Also, the way anti-trump content is written generally has a different flow due being written with a different audience in mind.
You general find more traditional stories where it is a balance of content and emotional appeal.
Pro Trump stuff is basically shotgun buzzword and a lot of techniques driven by how the eye scans the article.
I could literally write an article about trump that basically was 85% a description of Ostrich mating ritual and Trumptards would skim over it to look for their comfort phrases

Pretty crazy article here that shows Hunter and Dad were taking bribes from Burisma. It validates a lot of what I have been saying all along about how Joe Biden is a lifelong corrupt politician. Didn't see this posted here surprisingly.
