don't US citizens working over seas still pay US income tax on the money they earn?

seeing as cooperation's are people, the fix already exists

I believe the way it works is you pay taxes to the local jurisdiction, then claim the income on your U.S. return and get a credit for the tax already paid.

Having a Spicy Big King for lunch... yum. Wish it wasn't such a big chore to get to the restaurant from work.

Wages (and all other income) earned while overseas is taxable by the US.

To avoid double taxation 2 things exist:

1. Foreign earned Income exclusion. Basically if you do live and work abroad you can exclude approx $100k in wages from US taxation. If you qualify this is simpler than claiming the foreign tax credit.

2. Foreign tax credit. You get a credit for foreign taxes paid to foreign income.

I guess Wendies used to own Tim Hortons a few years ago, had never even heard of them myself.

Interesting how much business they do up there in Canuck land, like 10% of food and 25% of coffee if I remember right from earlier.

I have been boycotting BK for years. Has nothing to do with nationality. Their stuff never looks like the commercials. Always (around here) a cold and soggy mess.

I now wait for the Canadians to post their outrage of being one step closer to being apart of the US.

I would love to have all the American stores and a bunch of stuff.

You can keep your politics though... Our current "conservative" Federal government is pushing us there though.

Nobody's food looks like the commercials because everyone uses fake food for commercials.
