It's to the point where I can hardly stand to read Yelp restaurant reviews because of the incessant fawning over what "pairs well" with what. They don't say if the food tasted good or the drink tasted good, it's all about how they paired so well.

By all means, order the San Pellegrino if you're having the taco. It pairs much better than the Perrier. Blech.

Hahaha... BK has been trying soooo hard to cater to the yuppies. It's hilariously ridiculous.

BK's marketing has always been known for their effective deadpan humor.

They're not 'trying soooo hard to cater to the yuppies'. It's half serious, half fun.

Burger King's marketing people have a good sense of humor.
From the thread title i expected to see fancier items like wines or cheeses to pair with the cheap fast food items.

White with chicken, red with beef. Soda is just carbonated wine.

Racist would be to pair chicken with orange and grape soda.

Racist would be referring to the grape soda as "purple drank." And, honestly, orange soda is awesome with fried chicken. Why is a good taste combination racist?
