Bundled power supply and fan question...

First off look here.

That power supply that comes with the case is a beefy 500W and as you can see I also get a nice case compliments with 2 80mm fans. First of all, I have heard a lot of talk about making a silent PC. Well I have 2 Dell PCs a 533 and a 2.26 (my brother's) and I don't really find them noisy...so should I really be concerned with silence? This may sounds stupid, but are Dells known for being a silent or loud PC?

Anyways, aside from the fans I am also wondering if that power supply is good. The ratings on all the pipes are given on that page but I am not sure how reliable it is. It retails for around $80 CDN but with rebate I can get it for $50...

So to recap I am getting a potentially $180 case for $100 CDN. Are two or three 80 mm fans going to necessarily be noisy and is the power supply good enough to run a system with the following specs?

CPU -- AMD ATHLON64 3400+ 512K Socket 754 BOX (Newcastle)
Motherboard -- DFI Lanparty UT nF3 250Gb Socket 754 nVidia nForce3
Memory -- OCZ 2 x 512MB PC-3200 DDR400 Premier Series 1GB (2.5-3-3-7)
Video Card -- ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon X800XT / 256MB GDDR3 / AGP 8x
Sound Card -- Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
Optical Storage -- NEC ND3520 (Silver) 16x DVD+/-R Writer 4X Double Layer DVD
HDD Storage -- Western Digital 74GB S-ATA, 10K RPM Raptor or Maxtor DMax10 7200 RPM S-ATA

First, Dells are usually very quiet.

As for the case, seems like a very nice price. Only problem is that I wouldn't even think about powering my system with that PSU. Ultra X-connect gets nothing but bad reviews.
I know there are some happy owners out there, but there are also some very inhappy ones. I personally wouldn't take the chance.

So far I have been reading a lot of reviews and I haven't found a bad one yet and that's after reading about 10 reviews now...everyone says that it looks great and deliever reliable voltages...

Could you please state your sources so that I can get a better idea of what you mean by getting nothing but bad reviews.

I don't know about the PSU. Never seen anyone here recommend it. Your system specs look good but I think I would go woth a Venice core 939 socket and an NF4 motherboard.

Just to update, I have continued to exhaustively read reviews from sites all over and so far I have found no real bad reveiews, a few of the worst (if you could consider them that) say that this PSU is fully capable of running a system.

I found this review to be one of the best since the PSU goes head to head with a few other brands. The funny thing is that when looking at the tables this PSU should be considered surprisingly good considering it's reputation, however it is hardly mentioned in the article...

I encourage you not to buy this PSU. You are reading reviews from people who have gotten " special" models from Ultra. Read the forums. These power supplies short easily, do not have very good power regulation, and at the worst, could fry your components. The case is good though, I have one, and it has great airflow. But do yourself a favor, and get a reputable power supply like an Antec, Enermax, or Fortron. If you are looking for something quiet, get a Seasonic.
