Alright, here goes, I'm gonna list them to keep it easy:

1. 4-way interleaving with CAS2 memory - What does it do and should I enable it?
2. Is there a way to hook a monitor up to two seperate computers that won't degrade its performance?
3. My friend has a huge collection of old DOS games that he bought at a garage sale. He wants to play them but he doesn't want to have to figure out how to dual-boot Win98SE and DOS. What is a good computer that will run old DOS games? I thought an original Pentium w/ a SB 16 and an STB video card...suggestions?
4. How can you tell the difference between a blue core and a green core Tbird? I just got a 1 GHz and I was wondering...
5. What is a cheap (<$20) or free program for drive partioning or disk backup/making a disk image?
6. What is the best program ($$$ doesnt matter) for drive partioning or disk backup/making a disk image?
7. If one partition on a hard drive crashes/becomes unstable, do I have to reformat the entire hard drive or just the partition? Is it possible to format each partition individually?
8. Is there software that will let you turn off a computer over a network? I have computers in separate rooms and I want to be able to turn them all off from one central computer. Also, is there a way to turn them all on without having a WOL-compatible network card in every machine?

Thanks a pantload for everyone's help. I am in the process of building a new machine and I needed the questions answered. You guys are all pros, so I figured this was the best place to start :D.

All pros, hehe... You won't feel that way after reading my answers...lol

1. It speeds things up. :) Some boards with various bios revisions have this automatically enabled, others don't. What board are you planing on buying? Unless you are buying a VIA133 board you don't really need to worry about this.

2. I find the easiest way is to just switch the cable back and forth while the computers are on. Cheap too. :p Another way is to buy a switch box. Cheap ones are cheap, good ones are expensive. Belkin makes some decent ones, go check them out.

3. Just make a dos boot disk with Win98. He will need to probably add some lines to the floppy disks config.sys and autoexec.bat to make sound work, but other than that it is easy.

4. There was much said about this a few months back, but in my opinion if you have a blue on you know it. But if you have a green one you keep trying to convince yourself that it is slightly blue...lol

5. Partition Magic 6 is the best. Maybe you can find an older version lying around somewhere pretty cheap.

6. Partitioning: Partition Magic 6 - Disk image: Norton Ghost

7. You can format partitions individually.

8. You will have to wait for someone who is actually smart to answer this one...lol I have no freakin' clue. :)

go to control panel --> add/remove programs

you'll see one of the tabs up top saying "Startup Disk"

click on that tab to make one..

Or just go to shut down, and then choose, "Reboot in DOS mode". That's what I always use (or used to use).
