Have you ever noticed no mater how broke/hungry/homeless/stranded someone is they still manage to be able to afford a sharpie to make a sign? 😕
 
They might steal the markers too you know !

For us.. its FAR (Free After Rebate)
For them its FFD (Five Finger Discount)
 
Who's the bigger loser; the homeless person or the person who sits on their fat ass and makes fun of them on a computer forum? As for the ones with dogs, well dogs are usually a better companion than any person I know.

Here in Toronto there was a big story about one woman posing as a pandhandling bum. She literally raked in hundreds of thousands yearly. People started suspecting things when a black lincoln would park behind the store she panhandled at and then she would run behind the store and take off.

People would give her coats and stuff and she'd throw them away(!) that was one of the telltale signs when people started finding the coats in garbage cans. She would also take any bills that anyone gave her, roll them up and hide them to make it look like she only got dimes and pennies.

Many of the people have some sort of problems (mentally) and so they stay away from shelters. Here there are more than enough shelters for them they just want to buy alcohol and get fux0red.

actually stuff like this aint uncommon.

they had a story about a guy who was makeing close to a 100k a year by begging.

wich is one of the reasons i dont give beggers any money.
 
heh, there's this one that's been on a corner on my way to work for 2 months now with a sign that says "Just passing through, on the road, need food."

Rofl, I have mixed feelings about "bums" because of the all too often substance abuse, I'm all for helping people in need, I just don't want to enable bad habbits.

I think I would give money to a bum that had the audacity to make a sign using poo. Though, I would drop the bill a few feet away from him so as to avoid any possibilty of contact.

Or a computer or an internet connection or a job.

I will never give money to beggars. I'm already paying for welfare, food stamps, housing, and medical programs with my tax money. There are more than enough places in every city where they can get food and shelter if they really need it. The reason they beg for money is so they can buy drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. Unfortunately, the shelters won't give them those things.

I've seen the same guy on the same corner for weeks at a time with the same sign saying he was needed money because he was out of gas.
