Bumpers needed for mounting TV?

Sh*t. I ordered this mount and it's coming in the mail today. I guess I need some screws. I do keep a ton on hand at home, though, hopefully one will fit. Can't answer about bumpers, not even sure what those are 🙂

Edit: Oh it's a rubber washer. couldn't hurt, but you can really space out with anything I imagine, or shorten screws if you have a cheap grinder and they are too long.
 
It really depends on your TV. Some TVs have the screw mounting holes recessed and it would be advisable to use some spacers. other TVs it is not needed.

If you have the manual for your TV it should say, but usually if the mount holes are recessed or installing the brackets flexes the rear housing of the TV you should use some spacers.

You should be fine if you ordered it, it should come with a bunch of screws. I picked this one up from a friend who didn't have all the screws.
 
The length of screw matters. If it is too long, it can damage the screen. If it is too short, well, there are not enough threads to grip onto the TV. You will most likely need to use some spacers.
 
Good call, I went to Lowe's today knowing that I needed M8 screws, and not knowing anything about screws I didn't know there were M8-1.25 and M8-1.00 screws, and that length had mattered too.

So I picked up a 4 set of M8-1.00 x 35 and M8-1.25 x 30 and, turns out it requires M8-1.25 x 35 screws. -_-

It looks like the M8-1.00's are a bit thicker than the 1.25 (since it won't fit), can someone explain what the 1/1.25 indicates?
