Today we were hangin out near the back parkin lot of our school and some asian chicks in a nissan were backin out and hit a parked brand new camero....there was no visible damage from where we were but the people didnt even come out and check (mabey they could see from their mirrors?) well anyways about 20 of us saw it and this person just drove off....even if there was no visible damage that u could see from ur mirrors would you go check or would you let the person know atleast? Heh....well i think those asian chicks better watchout because sooner or later they mite see their tires slashed or car keyd...hah

i'd at least check by getting out of the car and looking....but if there's no damage, no biggie. it happens all the time (esp. here in LA where people can't drive.)

I have bumped a parked car once and I did check for damage. There was a bit of a dent on the bumper so I left a note. In the end the person never called, I guess the person didn't care too much.

I think if there's no damage after careful inspection it should be ok to drive off but if there is anything... you should definately leave a note.

Given that there's no damage the old saying "what you don't know doesn't hurt you" seems to fit rather well.

I always thought that if you bumped someone you were supposed to leave a note with your name and phone #.

It is considered a "hit and run" if you do not at least stop to check. If there is no damage, you may procede.

If there is damage, you must (at least) leave a note with a way for them to contact you.

you really shouldn't leave a note unless you are very very specific as to what the damage is, they can take you for a ride if you just say, sry I hit your car, call me at xxx-xxxx you may have scratched their paint on their door, next thing you know you have to pay for the dents to be removed from their hood, and a brand new paint job.
