Bummer! Just missed a chance to go to the Superbowl

My company was renting a piece of equipment to the owner of the Houston Texans and it needed to be installed. My company was going to send me there to install it for them where they would pay for the hotel, flight, my time and I would get to party with them. I had already planned out a ski trip to Tahoe with my friends for that weekend. Oh well, maybe next year.

You are joking right? I am not even a football fan but I certainly would not pass up the Superbowl to go skiiing.

Dude, how many skiing trips have you been on and will be on? How many Superbowls have you been at and will be at? What is your DAMAGE?!?!?! 🙂

Wow... that is really lame.

agreed, i'd rather take a skiing trip anyone, especially for just a chance rather than tickets.

You don't get to see the commercials if you go to the game, do you? 🙂

They actually use the lawn as a giant projection screen to display the commercials. 😉

I would've gone to the Superbowl

When the Vikings made it to the NFC Championship game in '98 we had season tickets that year (well..my friend has had them ever since as well). Well...our number was drawn in the lottery to get tickets if the Vikes made it to the super bowl. :|

Needless to say we were pretty pissed. DIE GARY ANDERSON!

I am a passive football fan. I like watching it on TV on occassion, but I don't tune into a lot of games. If I was handed superbowl tickets with free travel and such, of course I would do it. However, there is part of me that would like it more sitting at home. Part of the fun of the Superbowl is watching the commercials. 🙂

I'm not a huge football fan by any means, but there's no way I'd pass up an opportunity to go to the SuperBowl. Hell, I'd go, get f'n wasted and not care about the game if need be. The point is that I could say that I went to, what typically is the most watched program every year in the US. It's all about the experience. Then I'd meet up with my buddies the next week and tell 'em stories while we ski.
