McQueen tried several times to buy it from the owner including an offer to replace it with a brand new Mustang of his choice, owner declined every one, smart guy!.It is worth every penny@!!
It is worth every penny@!!
Is it though? Don't get me wrong it's a cool piece of Americana but at the end of the day it's a '68 non-shelby mustang that will probably just sit and never get driven. New owner stated it won't be restored, and for nostalgia purposes that's totally fine, but the actual value (not fabricated) in current condition is probably under $100,000.
To each their own I guess... but I'd rather street the one John Wick drove (even if he hunts me down after and puts a hot one in my forehead).
I seriously doubt a celeb driving your Explorer....but now id your explorer were to be driven in a fastn furious movie or say some super popular movie that might up the value....Can I get a celeb to drive my Explorer??
Edit: Hell, even my wife's Daytona Charger?

Yea the Exploder is a lost cause.Sorry, I don't think a celeb would drive the Charger to a rock fight.
^ Hardly. Ford SUV... OJ... $750K
yeah, but the Bronco is a classic!
And the Exploder is definitely not a classic. Nor is the Charger.
Still, a 30 year old Ford Bronco in decent condition is worth maybe $20k. Not sure why anyone would pay more than that simply because it was owned by an ex-football player turned actor who killed two people.
Who happened to make it the most famous bronco in history after his scenic drive on the expressway. Estimated live viewers of that event was almost 100 million.
It could also be the very first vehicle in US history that was driven by an african american, involved in a police chase and not filled with holes or crashed. =]
The K5 Chevy Blazer is just as popular and they sell for decent money in good condition. Your point is moot.
^ Yes, JM isn't keeping up, and the K5 Blazer is not just as popular, is in 2nd place and will always be there whether you want to compare restored resale value or enthusiast desirability for new (re)builds.
Enthusiasts who want a restored Chevy tend to gravitate towards older pickups rather than Blazers.
Surprising those old Bronco's haven't succumbed to rusting issues yet, I guess if it's lived in the CA or AZ type of environment they could last as long as one wants to throw parts at it.The point I was laboring to make is the fact that OJ drove his white 1993 Bronco in a nationally televised chase all over the freeways of Los Angeles isn't the reason why the Bronco is popular. That is the reason why THAT particular Bronco is popular (although I disagree with it). The reason old Broncos are popular is because they are great trucks. K5 Blazers seem to fetch similar money in decent condition, $15-20k, and I've seen people asking absolutely ridiculous sums of money for these too.
Part of the problem is that they didn't sell particularly well when new so there aren't a whole lot of them around in decent shape (full-size Blazers and Broncos). They succumbed to rust and accidents or just plain worn out so when you find an original one with low mileage in decent shape they command decent money.
