I bought Bulletstorm during the 2013 - 2014 holiday sale and I am really enjoying it.

The reports of foul language put me off buying the game, but when I saw it on sale for something like $4 I said why not. As a person who does not use foul language of any kind I was hesitant to buy bulletstorm. After putting 2 hours into the game, the language is more funny than offensive.

Having to log into a windows live account was a pain. Games for windows live is supposed to be going away. Plus, I could not hardly find any real instructions on how to create a games for windows live account.

Bulletstorm is more fun than I expected and I am glad I bought it.

I bumped an old thread, but it was locked and the moderator said to start a new thread - http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2182214

Has GFWL been patched out yet? I really wanted this game when it came out, but was waiting until GFWL was patched out before buying it. I looked at it during the sale, but Steam showed a GFWL requirement and I really don't want to deal with that. Perhaps Steam was mistaken and it was removed, though. I hope so, because the game looked fun.

EDIT: I guess I should have read the whole post before commenting. I see GFWL is still present and accounted for :(

I got it a while ago for $5. It's a few hours of dumb fun. It was worth the low price, certainly.

It's pretty mindless fun, if you can fix the horrible mouse acceleration, fps "smoothing", vsync and FOV issues, that game is an effing messy console game.

It does have that element to it that the player needs to be somewhat creative to get the most out of it, otherwise it's a fairly boring shooter, it's all about chaining combos and using the envrionment to your benefit, if you just run around shooting everyone it's pretty boring.

The bad language is deliberately OTT and arguably used in a sort of ironic way, it's pretty much a parody of the typical shooters that do this, and to be honest I think it pulls it off rather well.

If you don't like harsh language then I'd probably avoid this title, oh and grow up, language is only as offensive as you allow it to be. Personally I thought the deliberate OTT nature of the game was funny.
