I can't give you a step-by-step how to but basically they palm the bullet.

I saw ths on that Fox magic show that was on a few years ago. When they push the bullet into the gun, the rod that goes down the barrel of the gun is magnetized. So, the bullet gets pushed down the barrel, but comes right back up. Then, it's a simple matter of palming the bullet, shooting a blank, rigging the glass to shatter, and then taking the bullet from your hand to your mouth.
