Front left pocket: keys
Front right pocket: PDA + cell phone
Back right pocket: Wallet

That's it.

Front right: Wallet + keys
Front left: Mobile phone

That's about all I carry around, everything else goes in my backpack along with the laptop (which I've got with me or in the car almost all the time)

Front left = phone and blistex
front right = keys and everything else I pick up during my day
back right = wallet

When I get home, in the car, or back to my desk at work, I unload everything I've accumilated during my outing (such as lunch, shopping, going out) into their "areas" so I can forget about it now and find it later. Every time I leave, I only have my phone, blistex, keys and wallet. Phone stays along with plastic blistex and nothing else to keep it from getting scratched.

I keep everything up front. I don't like to sit on stuff I keep in my pockets.

ditto. plus its easier access. I keep wallet in my front right, and keys and phone in front left.

Ditto². I started when I visited Europe and was told by everyone that I'd get pickpocketed all the time.

Left pocket (non-scratch pocket)
-Phone
-Wallet

Right pocket
-Keys
-Pen
-Gum*
-Notepad*
-Chapstick*
-Change from purchases*

*optional

Left Front Pocket : Wallet with keys in the coin holder thing in it (hard to explain, but yeah)

Right Front Pocket : Cell Phone

I hate stuff in the back cause it's uncomfortable when you sit down and you're open to pickpockets

Swapped it all to front pockets several years back. My ass would hurt from sitting on the wallet for long periods of time, and its damn near impossible to get the wallet out of the back pocket when you're driving a car.

Plus, the pickpocket thing. Its pretty hard to stick your hand down some ones front pocket and snag their wallet. Even harder on me, since whenever I am in a tight crowded spot I put my hand over the pocket with just my thumb in it.

Wallet stays in left. Keys with a chapstick holder attached stay in the right. My lips turn into those of a 3000 year old mummy if I don't apply chapstick every 35 seconds.

Back right - wallet (switches to left front or jacket when on the bike)
Left front - phone, (garage door opener when on the bike)
Right front - chapstick, keys.

back right - wallet
front right - keys, change, lighter, USB flash drive
front left - mints, cell phone
little pocket on front right - guitar picks
clipped on right edge of front right pocket - knife

YOyoYO, I know exactly how you feel... my pocket item list is usually as follows:

Pentel EnerGel Liquid Gel Ink Pen 🙂heart: these - I rarely go anywhere without a pen)
Wallet
Motorola V300
Tin of pepperment Altoids
Butane lighter
Cigar cutter
Cigar (various)
Change
Ray-Bans

I'm not sure how I manage to organize all this crap into a comfortable configuration, but somehow I make it work.

all that and
acetylene torch
12 piece cultery set
a roll of duct tape
yard stick
leaf blower

<===flops e-penis down on the table

I see your leaf blower and I raise you a lawn mower

I raise you a desktop computer....can't afford a PDA, so....

Same, but no PDA. But I carry around a jump drive occasionally, and that goes with my keys.

A few of my dress pants actually have a small pocket sewn into the right-front pocket, so I put my cell phone in there.

I hate having too much in my pockets. I hate that I carry so many keys...I think I'm going to re-sort them and downsize this week to 5 keys on my keychain rather than 2 sets of 50. 😀

front left - keys
front right - phone
back left - wallet

I hate carrying a bunch of sh!t in my pockets. If I'm at school, everything but the phone goes in my backpack. When I'm at work I leave everything on my desk.

I usually have baggy pants outside of work so my pocket arangment does not matter. At work I have to wear a suit so my pants are a little more form-fitting. Then I just have chapstick, comb, and cell phone in pockets. The zen touch, axim x30, keys, and whatever else all go in my briefcase.

I already have too much bulge in the front if you know what I mean....it's the back pocket for cargo or not at all!!

I loved reading all the responses here, and the reasons why. Prevailing answers included everything from the simple (normal) items (change, keys, etc), to the ludicrous (lawnmowers, etc  ).
What I get a big kick out of, though, is how many of you walk around, presumably all the time, with your cell phone and/or pda. You're all slaves to your technology!!

Wanna try something somtime? Go the whole day without your cel phone. You'll be amazed at how much time you'll have for doing the things you want to do! Of course, if it's something you're required to carry for work, don't do this on a workday. But try it on a weekend day sometime. I mean, honestly......hasn't your cel phone just become a way for other people to tie up your personal time, making you do stuff you'd rather not do???

I switched off my cel phone service about 15 months ago, to save some $$$ to put towards other things, and I've never felt more free. If someone wants to get ahold of me, I have a home phone with an answering machine that does a really great job of taking the calls when I'm not there. Those people that I think need to get ahold of me during the day have my work number as well. Other than that, it's not going to be important enough for me to drop everything and take a call right then and there, and will wait until I get home.

Oh yeah, and if you're honest with yourself, you'll also admit that there's WAY too many people that have your cel phone number, that really don't need it.....aren't there?? 😀
