Bulk Gadgets is not a retailer per se. The business has been around in one form or another for a number of years. Doing everything from promoting new products to collecting buyer profiles for large retailers. This recent venture, actually selling them, appears to be a new direction - probably more profitable, but not from the sales... Their take comes from the information about the buyers' behavior. I haven't purchased from them this time - so I can't say what's up - but I did buy an iPod about a year and a half ago from their company - which is called also BGI. Everything was fine.
They are registered as a business under personal and profesional services in Delaware, but have a warehouse (or temporary leased space) at a location (office park of some sort) in Florida. With their customer service in New York - I think. They have 24/7 live receptionist, have excellent ratings on Verizon SuperPages, and no record of complaints with the BBB. My only concern with them at this point is that their primary business is in information, not retail, so they are a bit slow to respond to customer inqueries, but likely speedy to respond when Sony execs call!
In any case, I just noticed this thread and thought I, as a past reasonably satisfied customer of Bulk Gadgets would add my 2 cents!
