My how time flies. I feel like it was just last month that you did your quarterly Sam's Club, or Costco, or Sam's Club vs Costco thread. I guess I've been busy. ;)
haha yea I forgot about the last thread! Might go check out Sam's Club this weekend if we have time.

Last year it was $15, but there's still good value here. It's for "new" customers only, which means your previous membership must have lapsed for at least 6 months.

The Sam's Club UX for this "renewal" is rather unique. Basically, you can keep your old login credentials, but you must go through the sign-up and insist that you're new. All your old customer history is then erased:

BULK BEEF ACCESS
The $5 roti chicken is alternator-sized.

I have both. Both stores are 15 mins away but Costco is a little closer so I just go there. Really like the Sam's Club pay with your phone feature though.

Scan and go FTW. I did not like shopping there before it was available. My club finally got the cameras on exit so I don't have to deal with the exit door workers anymore. I just walk in, scan, swipe to pay, walk out. It's close to perfection for the shopping experience.

I visit a Sams club a few times a year -

Rotisserie $5 chicken is better than Costco's, way less salty
Bagged salads are super cheap
Hummus is good
The pasta/kale salad is solid
Pork chops are good & cheap - 6lbs at a time!
The boneless carver hams are really tasty
Petite dill pickles
Seasoning/meat rubs are a great selection

The scan & go feature intrigues me the most. My friends were telling me about it and it sounds super convenient. Also, lately, they've been saying the meat they've been getting from Sam's has been better quality than Costco.
