Looks nice, if your not going to overclock.... I'd go with a ABIT SA7, its cheap... Has onboard LAN/ Audio (in case you ever need it) plenty of PCI slots.. You can find it at NewEgg Here

Hope this helps! :)

Any particular reason you chose the 1.9 Williamette CPU? The Northwood 1.8A would generally be faster, run cooler, cost less and have overclocking potential too.

Also, hard drive coolers are not as good of a choice as simply picking up a quiet-running 80mm fan and using the fan-cooled HDD bay on the Antec case. Enermax thermally-regulated 80mm or YS Tech adjustable-RPM fans would be a couple of good options there.

Yeti101, not overclocking, will look into the ABIT SA7 mb too, only went with the other was for raid, but i can add a raid card too later on.

mechBgon, only went by price the 1.8a is $166 and the 1.9 is $167, figured for a buck more i get a faster processor.

every buck i can save helps a lot :)

The 1.8A uses the Northwood core with 512kb of L2 cache, whereas the 1.9 uses the old Williamette core with 256kb of L2. The Northwoods perform ~10% faster per MHz, so the 1.8A Northwood is about the same as a 2.0 Williamette, and would perform faster than the 1.9 in virtually everything. And as I mentioned, the 1.8A will produce significantly less heat too. Maybe this sheds light on why they're priced the way they are. ;)

ok, i'll get the 1.8a, regarding this mb, cant seem to find any reviews on it. only thing i dont like its not usb 2.0 supported and has no raid, but what do you want for $80 bux. i can add a fireware card for $25 also

seems like a nice board, but a recent review on anandtech said the gigabyte 8IEXP was best
