I?m wanting a pc about 500? to can play some games and internet use. I?m doing this build for a friend. I don?t need monitor and dvd burner, only motherboard, cpu, memory and graphic card.

To begin the build I thought in this:

Case and psu : Anted Sonata III
Hard Disk: Seagate 7200.10 320 gb

Thanks a lot and sorry for my English

Welcome to AnandTech, your English is fine.

Do you know of a website that you'll be buying your parts from, or are you going to a traditional store? Prices on parts are different in different countries, and some items aren't available everywhere. It would be nice if we could see what's available to you, and at what price.

I'm guessing he's spanish, hehe. Don't know of any spanish websites tbh. The case is good, comes with a good PSU, but it depends on the price you would be paying for it, and the price of other 'good' cases and PSU's. For 500 euro's I suppose you can get a gigabyte ds3l for 80 euro's, and a e4400 or e2180 for 80-100 euro's, 2gb of ddr2 800mhz ram for 50 euro's, and then a 8800gt for 200 euro's, or a HD3870 for maybe 180 euro's or so. The antec sonata should cost 100 euro's roughly. That should total at roughly 500 euro's, assuming Spanish prices are similar to Dutch prices.

What resolution does the screen have ? It will be able to play most games just fine, but to make the system last longer, I would buy a HD3850 512mb. If you can fit that into the budget, then you have a pretty good 'budget' system, pretty much the best you can buy for that money. Buena suerte!
