yeah, I put together a ECS K7VZA Rev 3.0 KT133A Chipset Motherboard and a oem 1 ghz 200 fsb athlon and pc 133 kingston value ram. Got everything from newegg. Turn the power on and nothing happens. My fan won't even go. I tried a working fan so thats not the problem.. My ram works.. so is it the oem cpu or retail motherboard. Help thanks!

hm the same thing happened to me when i built mine a couple months ago, i got all my parts from newegg too. before saying anything is broken or messed up, trying reconnecting EVERYTHING from scratch. worked for me. i don't know what wasn't hooked up but it worked for me. just disconnect everything and plug everything back. if it doesn't turn on at all it might be your powersupply. you could try testing out each part individually to single out the problem if there is one.

take out everything except CPU, RAM, Video and try and boot..just see if u get anywhere...

are u getting power? or what?

If all of the above fails, take the motherboard out of the case and off the motherboard tray and run it outside the computer. If it boots then, the motherboard's being grounded somewhere to the case.

fan doesnt come on equals no power. check power supply connection. also check the power button to motherboard conn. and try different PSU.
