Here's an example of detailed specs. You could hit the Quote button and edit this to reflect your system. Since the devil's in the details sometimes, supply as much info as you can. After the spec template I'll put up my first-guess ideas just for the heck of it, then I've got to get to bed.

  • CORE HARDWARE
    • Power supply Antec TruePower 430
    • Motherboard Asus K8N-E Deluxe
      • Revision 1.03
      • BIOS 1005

ok, and my first guesses:

1) your power supply is not able to power such a power-hungry system. A quality-brand 400W+ unit is probably in order. Fortron Blue Storm 500W is one to look at... sleeved, quiet, 24-pin-ready with 20-pin capability too. And it's a quality brand.

2) maybe you made an assembly error or oversight. I have a document here, the top link on the page there, with a bunch of brainstorms you can check out.

Hope that helps :moon:

I think you are going to have to post back here tomorrow when you have more details, because at this point it would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Model, voltage, speed and number of memory modules? Also, did you go through all of the tips I gave in my troubleshooting document here (first link)?

Also, get that Audigy out of there as a troubleshooting step too, consult your mobo manual for preferred memory slot(s), and confirm that you got your 4-pin ATX12V power cable hooked up, and if your video card's designed for an auxiliary power cable, make sure it got one.

Does your video card have power? Did you plug the four pin P4 power connector into the motherboard? Just asking common, "No boot-up" questions.

Alright guys I finnaly fixed the problem. I had to put the memory furthest away from the CPU. I always thought its supposed to be closest to the CPU. I guess not with this specific mobo
