I assembled my Athlon T-Bird 1GHz today and all seems well.

The temp of the case is 23C and the cpu is at 43C/105F, is this ok? What is the temp they should be running at? is this under or over the recommended limit?

I setup the CPU to 1GHz on the Abit KT7 Menu. Now there are so many things i still dont understand. I have 133MHz RAM but it seems to run at 100MHz. On the BIOS it says FSB/PCI = 100MHz/33Mhz. It then has a thing underneith saying FSB +, what does this do?

How do I get my 133MHz RAM running at 133MHz? Is running it at 100MHz safe?

I am also having problems getting my Power LED and HD LED's working on my case. They are connected properly (i think), but they dont aluminate!

HELP!!!

I would like to thank people who helped me before, without your help my pc would have been fried by now!

Thanks again

I can't comment on your bios settings because I'm not all that familiar with that version of bios but I believe the + will jump the 100Mhz to 133Mhz.

If you are 100% sure that you have the cables for the lights connected to the correct pin pairs then all you have to do is rotate the connector 180 degrees. Most LED's will only operate if current is flowing in a particular direction so you must have the connector on backwards. Just turn it around.

Good luck,
Nino

That CPU temp looks to be just fine as to what the CPU can take, and in an okay range in terms of what people like to have it at. You're pretty much great if it is running < 50 C

Your memory is rated at PC133 but the tbird runs at 100mhz FSB. If you want to increase the FSB between your CPU/memory then just increase the PLUS from 0 to whatever you choose. This will overclock your CPU also. Try 10, so that's 110 mhz x 10 = 1.1Ghz which the tbird should be able to do.
