I pretty much had all my pedals just laying on the floor, and it was a pain to move them around anytime I wanted to pull them out and play. It had been a while since I built anything, so I decided to take a swing at making my own pedal board since I was on holiday. I just wanted something simple that looked decent and was somewhat functional. I don't plan on taking it out or anything.
It's 32" wide, 14" deep, and is tilted. The back sits 2" higher than the front. I put a basic 6 outlet surge protector on back, and power everything with a 1-spot, except for the Boss vWah which needs it's own power supply. Everything is velcro'd down. I used a half sheet of high density particle board ($10) and cut everything from that. I bought 2 dresser/cabinet handles for $5 each. The surge protector was $8. Velcro was $4. Black spray paint was $4. Total cost about $41 and change, along with 3-4 hours of work.
I still plan on tucking the power wires under the board better. I wasn't exactly sure how the 1spot would end up so I just wadded it up for now.
I still want
Blues Driver (undecided on which one)
Boss Metal Zone
Boss Compressor
Boss Noise Suppressor
Boss Chorus
Amp footswitch probably won't stay on there, and the delay pedal is old so I might get rid of it and use a smaller boss delay pedal.
