Built in USB ports not working.

Is there some reason USB ports that are built into the motherboard don't work but others do? Is there possibly any bios settings that would cause this or some drivers that need to be installed or are they just brokened?
 
Do you have USB 2.0 enabled in BIOS? Are you also running the current version of your BIOS? An update might clear it up.
 
yes there is. what mobo do you have? try going to the peripherals section and see if USB is enabled. in my mobo, i didn't need to enable anything. i just connected the hub in the case and it worked.
