I am in the process of building a computer. I have everything already connected, the motherboard, graphics card, ram, hard drives.. everything seems to be in order and i've disconnected and reconnected at least 3 times.

Everytime i turn on the computer, in front of the case next to the reset button a small red light comes on for about 5 seconds and then turns off.

I don't get an image on my monitor no matter what i try. Could it be my power supply? motherboard? processor?

Also, i attempted to connect another graphics card to see if that was the case but it still wouldn't show an image.

First, you should have tested just the mb, cpu+hsf, 1 stick of ram, and vid card on the bench before assembly. This makes torubleshooting much easier.

You can get a quick shutdown if the mb does not receive an rpm signal from the cpu fan.
