Built a new computer - Hangs on BIOS Splash Screen

Hi all,

I'm looking for a little help because I just put a new computer together, it turns on and loads the BIOS Spash Screen and doesn't respond to any kind of input. Any suggestions, advice or things I should try would be much appreciated.

The main components I used were:

MSI HD 5870 1GB GDDR5
AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition 1090T 3.2GHz
Gigabyte GA-790XT-USB3 790X Socket AM3
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1866MHz/PC3-15000
Corsair 750W TX PSU

Try the bare minimum, 1 stick of RAM, cpu, video card (onboard video if you have that on your motherboard), and take off any additional hard drives/cd drives and also take out any extra PCI cards.

Try it out, if that doesn't work, then try the other stick of RAM.

If none of that works, try it without any hard drives plugged in. I just had the same issue with a hard drive that was faulty.

report back here with your findings.

could be a ram problem, if you happen to have another stick of ddr3 use that then set voltages to ocz's settings and then boot, your bios defaults to 1.5v for ram and ocz rams can't boot with such a low voltage.
