Building your own water cooler: is it worth it?

My budget is limited to under $150; the cheaper the better. Cooling would mainly be for the CPU (AMD Athlon 64 3400+), but the GPU (6600GT) would be nice too. The more option for expansion the better, you never know...... Feel free to post anything, I know a lot more people would be interested in doing this if they got advice from people who already had. : )
 
i've seen a fish tank with fake fish, but water may not have been continuous to the mobo, but that right there is water cooling anyway

practice water cooling with an older and cheaper computer, that way if anything happens, you won't be too sorry
