I'm planning on building a small system for music and I'm looking for some advice. I'd like to put this in with my entertainment center so it should be small and quiet. And hopefully relatively inexpensive.
Right now I'm leaning towards the Shuttle SV24 barebones system. I'm not sure about the processor though. I've been reading about the Via C3 and it seems like it would be good enough for things like WinAmp(not sure about the visualization plugins though) plus it doesn't require a fan.
Also, how's the audio in the SV24?
If anyone else has done something like this I'd love to hear what you ended up with.
