building surround setup, got CL theatre 2200, now what sound card???

I got these speakers, there 5.1 dolby surround, so now i need a card to use that right?
or will my normal card work, its just a cheap 20 dollar card.
if i need a new one what one should i get, around $100?
will the xgamer 5.1 do this?

You can get a Sound Blaster Live! Value really cheap ($40), and the newer ones are far superior to anything else. The MP3, X-Gamer and Platinum editions have some useful features for certain target audiences, but the Live! sounds just as good and will most likely suit your needs.

I doubt you have a 4-speaker setup card with either EAX or A3D, which is what you really want. Creative Labs has the market pretty well cornered, so get something from the Live line if you need to upgrade.

I don't think that the value has a 5.1 version (I could be wrong) and that is what he asked for. Any 5.1 SBLive! will do, as will the value if they make a 5.1 version of the card.
