Hi guy's

I decided to build my own pc but i'm not a wizard with building pc so i came here and if anyone could help me figure out some stuff.

I'm building a gaming pc that will run gta v on high setting and if in the budget then on higher setting's as well.

My budget would be about 300 to 400 euros but it can go over, like if water cooling is better but expensive then that's okay.


1) Can i buy any pc tower and the motherboard and other stuff will fit in?
2) Which is better for cooling, using fans or water cooling?
3) What motherboard, processor,ram are good for playing new game like gta v on high or very high or ultra

I know it's not great description or anything but if anyone can help me out then i appreciate it or if anyone has websites that can help me out.

Suggest you post in General Hardware, but..

1) No
2) Water
3) Depends on a huge range of variables, but 980ti and i7-4790k or 6700k are good starting points. That demolishes your budget though.

I'd post in general hardware.

1) most atx towers will accept atx & matx motherboards
2) water is better but not by much
3) motherboard is really more about reliability and options rather than performance. Better motherboards do have better over clocking witch can help performance but many people don't bother with that option.

I'd get a general idea what your budget will be and repost in hardware.
I'd go with an intel i5, AMD & NVIDIA have similar but different cards and the most amount of ram you can afford without being crazy like 64GB.

With your budget dont look at water cooling or over clocking.
High end ram won't be worth the extra cost it will be about 30% more expensive for a 4% performance gain.
Again I'd go to general hardware

One issue that comes to mind is right here. Saying that you want to run a game on High graphics settings is fine, but the problem is that we don't know what resolution you want to run in. If you've got a small monitor that's say... 1680x1050, that does make a difference compared to targeting 1920x1080 as the latter has 17% more pixels to render.
