building pc need input/what chip should i get tbird 950 200fsb?tbird 1000 266fsb?

:confused:im buying a barebones system includes ak31 {rev2} board 250 p/s heatsink fan my question is should i get tbird 950 200fsb or 1.0 tbird 266 fsb im also getting 256 ddr i do plan to o/c eventually i read the 950 is o/clockable and can reach 1.1/1.2 with no problems is it bettwer to get 1000 or 950 my main concern is the fsb 950@200 ,1000@266 only 20$ differance should i go for the larger chip? im getting ak31 {rev 2} 250 p/s 256ddr atx mid geforce 2mx 200 for $250 inc ship handling {950 200 fsb}or 1000 266 fsb for $270
ps. where can i get new bios update i know shuttle has 207 but i been reading about a 907? update for ak31 rev 2?

I would suggest that you go with the 1 GHz @ 266 MHz bus. The higher bus speed, coupled with any sort of overclock you could probably squeeze out of that chip, would be much better for you than the 200 MHz FSB of the slower CPU. I would suggest that you look at a 300W or higher PS, though. I have never run a 1 GHz Tbird with a 250W, but it might want more than that PS can supply if you have anything like a CDRW, DVD, awesome video card, etc.

thanks they do offer a300 w p/s but they want 45.00 for it ithink i can do better i just have a24x c/d rom @maxter 30 gig h/d 7200rpm i do plan to upgrade all evenually
